*Bring a photo-related gift for a person
in a nursing home (or more than one!)--matted or framed
photo (ready to hang), note cards (with envelopes and
stamps), posters, etc. These gifts will be wrapped later and
a Nursing Home Ombudsman will take them as Christmas
gifts for patients in nursing homes.
*Mini-competition: None this month, bring a favorite photo
and we'll compete them against each and critique them.

December 20, 2008--9:30 AM- Centenary UMC
*Speaker Ben Casey will discuss photojournalism and
publishing.
*We will have a photographic themed White Elephant
Christmas Gift exchange (bring one: get one).
*Mini-competition: 'Tis the Season!

traditional and non-traditional. Bring your cameras and
traditional and nontraditional filters.
*Mini-competition: Photos taken at club activities or
events between September 1, 2008 and today.

*Nature Photographer and Seminar Leader Vinny Colucci will be
our presenter. Subject: Compostion and the Four Keys to a
a Great Image.
*Mini-competition: Thru the filter! Practice the skills you
learned at the January meeting.
*Circle 10 Art Gallery Exhibit To be Announced

March 21, 2009--9:30 AM--Centenary UMC
*Competition. Judges to be announced. Photos must
have been taken in 2008 or 2009.

April 4, 2009--SPRING FIELD TRIP TO RALEIGH--Museum of Natural
Science, Old Capitol Building & more. To leave the New Bern
area at 8:00 AM and to return at 4:00 PM. To carpool contact
Ed Hall or Judy Hills.

April 18, 2009--9:30 AM--Centenary UMC
*Portrait photography. We will have lights. Bring your camera.
President Ed Hall will be facilitating this session.
*Mini-comp will be flora and fauna. Usual categories.

May 16, 2009--9:30 AM--Centenary UMC
*Photographing small items to sell in catalogue or to sell online
(eBay). Speaker: Judy Hills. Bring your cameras and tripods as
we will have items and lighting to practice this type of
photography. If you have done this type of photography, bring in
your set up and props. Mini-comp: Faces and portraits.
*Club exhibit at the Front Street Book Store. We will be featured as
part of the May Art Walk on the 8th.
