Like a lot of other photographers, I became interested in photography at an early age.  After shooting several brands of 35mm, film cameras over the years, I found digital photography in 2002, and bought my first DSLR a year later.  I haven't looked back, upgrading my DSLR as newer and better models become available.
One of the best cameras that I've ever shot is my Nikon D700, usually with a 24-70 f2.8 attached.  I love using it to  photograph people...especially using natural light. However, I'm certainly not opposed to shooting portraits using my studio setup.
I own and operate Pumpkin River Photography in New Bern, North Carolina.  I photograph infants, children, teens, adults, events, weddings, and maternity.  I'll provide just about any service a customer wants so long as we're compatible and they agree with my contract terms.
I have been a member of Coastal Photo Club since 2002 and am the 2008, 2009, and 2010 past president.
I often think of how lucky family's are who have a photographer as a family member.  I know that I've shot thousands upon thousands of pictures of my children, and now my grand children.  My daughter and I are in the process of going through the mountains family photos and building keepsake albums for my granddaughter's hope chest.  What a wonderful feeling it is to be able to give that gift to her.
