 I have spent most of my professional career writing copy and capturing moving images. Years ago I shot and processed my own black and white images for a journalism job. Later I began to work with video, but was never satisfied with the electronic look. Recently I acquired a used high end Canon digital camera and fell back in love with still photography. I am now trying to master the technology of the digital world.
 
At one point I worked as a freelance writer and shot color photos with a trusty Nikon to accompany my articles in Smithsonian, Living Wilderness and other environmental publications. I have two published novels, Snap Factor, and Electric Honey, and I recently published a poetry book Converging Waters.
 
​My latest book is a richly illustrated children’s book My Little Plastic Bag that is designed to share with children what happens to a plastic bag thrown into the environment.
